DESCRIPTION:The Way of the Elders- Drumming of Guidance\, Connection & Healing \nThere is an ancient rhythm that lives within us. A remembering carried through the seasons\, through the land\, and through the circle. The Way of the Elders is a monthly shamanic practice rooted in respect for Earth-based wisdom traditions. This space honours the old ways- the teachings of listening\, connection\, and rhythm. Walking the path with devotion to the old ways and grounded awareness. \nEach gathering begins with a guided teaching exploring themes of seasonal wisdom and grounded spiritual practice. \nOur first session was devoted to The Way of the Shaman\, exploring the roots of the path and the reverence required to walk it. In our second circle\, we turned toward the drum\, building relationship with its spirit and learning how sacred tools support ceremony and healing. In our third gathering\, we stepped into the teachings of the Medicine Wheel\, honouring the directions\, the seasons\, and the turning cycles of life. In our fourth\, we explored the lower\, middle\, and upper worlds\, learning how many traditions understand the different layers of consciousness. Most recently\, we explored the healing of the fragmented self\, discovering how rhythm can gently support restoration\, presence\, and wholeness. \nAnd now\, the circle turns once more. \nIn this next gathering\, we explore the sacred medicine of the feather. \nAcross many earth based traditions\, feathers have been long regarded as ceremonial tools of healing\, prayer\, cleansing\, and spiritual connection. More than beautiful objects\, they remind us of our relationship with the natural world and the intention we bring to our practice. They have been used to gently clear energy\, offer blessings\, carry prayers\, and create sacred space with reverence and respect. \nTogether we will explore: \n🪶 The symbolism and sacred significance of the feather within a range of earth based traditions. \n🪶 How feathers have traditionally been used as ceremonial tools for cleansing\, blessing\, and directing energy. \n🪶 The importance of intention\, presence\, and respect when working with sacred tools. \n🪶 How the feather can become a gentle extension of healing through mindful practice. \nIn the second half of the evening and\, we will gather in circle for a guided feather healing ceremony. Working with intention\, rhythm\, and respectful practice\, we will explore a gentle energy clearing technique inspired by traditional feather healing practices. This is not about performing ancient ceremonies\, but about learning to work with presence\, compassion\, and deep respect for the wisdom these traditions have preserved. The feather  will become an extension of our intention\, while the heartbeat of the drum holds and supports the circle. \nThis is a space for: \n🪶 Learning and reflection\n🪶 Connection and community\n🪶 Gentle energy clearing and healing\n🪶 Honouring nature\, intention\, and sacred relationship \nNo experience is necessary.
